DIRECTOR: PARAGON INTERFACE
With a lifelong interest in art and design, Claire studied at the Greenside Design Centre, obtaining a BA Honours in Interior Design in 2001.
She began her career in commercial interiors and then explored the different world of turnkey interiors for a year, subsequently returning to interior architecture in commercial and residential design. Travelling to Australia, Claire then worked for a large multi-disciplinary practice for six years, completing a wide variety of projects in the commercial, retail, healthcare and education sectors. This experience within an exacting and demanding working environment helped to grow her design style and experience level.
Returning to South Africa in 2012, Claire took on the role of Director at Paragon Interface, going from strength to strength and securing two of the largest fitout projects in the country – namely, the new Head Office for Sasol (70,000m2) and the new Discovery Campus (110,000m2).
With seventeen years of professional working experience in the interior design industry, Claire has worked across multiple design environments in the corporate workplace, retail, residential, healthcare and education sectors.
Claire is driven by the desire to keep up with global leading trends in both architecture and design, and by the need to push one’s self to look for new and innovative ways to create interior environments that enhance people’s day to day lives. Her special interests are all things art and design; and a love of travel that allows her to experience new and different cultures and expand her thinking. In her down time she enjoys good food and a regular yoga practice.
