Tiso Blackstar Group

The new office for Tiso Blackstar Group is located in a new development within the Parktown Precinct. Occupying an area of 8500m2, the overall aim was to relocate Tiso Blackstar into a space that better enabled their functioning as a multi-faceted media, broadcast and retail marketing company.

The News floor, situated on the third-floor bridge link, is the heart of the building. Bustling with life and energy, the double volume open plan space gives staff access to light and views, opening up communication and visual connection to facilitate the hive of activity. The intricate patterning of carpeting was used to create visual dynamism and great views from above.

The ‘Empire Venue’, situated on the fourth floor and roof garden of the building, is separate from the workspace. This elegant venue is made up of a bar which overlooks the News room, a grand double volume events space, and a stylish roof terrace with spectacular views of Johannesburg CBD.
